Our house is located 1 hour and 45 min. from San Jose International Airport (SJO) in a gorgeous mountain region in a rural area filled with natural beauty. In our location you will be able to have an authentic Costa Rican experience! We are about 2 hrs and 30 min from beaches in the Atlantic side, making it possible to go to the beach and come back on the same day.

Most attractions are within a 15 min. to 30 min. distance. We will provide you with a full list of activities and tourism service providers in the area for you to make reservations ahead of time. We will always be available for any questions you may have.
 

While our location is conveniently near a major national highway, certain adventure areas may benefit from a 4X4 vehicle. The road from our gate to the house is steep; although most cars can manage, we strongly recommend renting a 4X4, especially during rainy conditions. If driving isn’t your preference, we can arrange a taxi service for airport transfers at approximately $125 for 4 people each way. This same service can also provide transportation to attractions and handle errands for an extra fee.

Amazing! Even in a tropical country, our location stands out as it lacks the typical high humidity found in beach areas. Our average temperature is in the 75 degrees. 

Our fully-equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals, and breakfast is not provided. Consider a $35 membership at the PRICESMART club in Tres Ríos on your way from the airport to our house for a Sam’s Club-like experience. Nearby MaxiPali stores (owned by Walmart) and organic farms offer additional options. Explore the local Farmers Market on Fridays and Saturdays for organic products and tropical treats and to support local merchants. If desired, hire a chef for special occasions or daily meals. Enjoy dining at nearby restaurants, or use our trusted taxi service to pick up meals for you.

• Full refund for cancellations received 120 days or more before the arrival day. 
 • 50% refund for cancellations made 30-120 days before the arrival day. 
 • 25% refund for cancellations made 13-30 days before the arrival time. 
• 0% refund if the cancellation is made within 7 days before the arrival time.
Full payment is required at the time the reservation is made. We accept credit card payments on PayPal. We also accept Zelle and Bank Transfers.
Reservation confirmation is contingent upon payment receipt, completion of a basic Short-Term Rental Agreement, and the provision of a copy of a current ID. Thank You!
Yes, of course. We ask you to kindly consider the following: No smoking inside the house. No parties. Only guest in original reservation to stay at the house. 
Check-in time: 3pm – Check-our time 11am
Nightly rate covers accommodations for up to 4 individuals. Any additional guests will incur an extra charge of $30 per person.
